MotorStorm - 7/10

Motor Storm is one of the earliest games to hit PS3 and this has also been one of the biggest successes. This game allows you to ride a range of different vehicles on a dirty muddy track. There are over 7 different tracks available to race on with 6 different vehicles. The tracks are all very different and have lots of shortcuts.
If you have friends and family over, this is one of the best games to show them. The graphics and the explosions look like a movie. Even Microsoft and Nintendo fans will admit it. When your car explodes from either over boosting or crashing into something, you can press start and look at the vehicle from every angle. From the track, the driver, vehicle and screen get muddy. This mud looks very wet and realistic.
In single player, they are many tickets that you have to complete. On these tickets there are up 4 races that you have to complete before you finish the ticket. In these races, you usually have to race in a specific vehicle but on some occasions you are allowed to choose your own vehicle. Most of the tracks are either dusty, bumpy or muddy.
In time attack, you choose your favourite vehicle and your favourite track. You race a couple times to get your best score. Your best score is recorded on a leader board.

Online mode is a great way to verse your friends from all around the world. The lobby system is very organised and easy to find. You can make games and choose whether it’s public or private. It saves all your statistics; how many races you’ve won, how many races you’ve lost, how many crashes you’ve had and your favourite vehicle to use and things like that.

There are many different things that you can purchase free or pay for off the PLAYSTATION NETWORK. There are many patches that help cheats and any problems. There are many cool looking vehicles that you can buy for a small price. The new tracks are a bit more expensive but still worth buying. Some other items are new modes including time attack and leader boards.

Overall Motor Storm is very good but if played too much can get boring. I recommend this game to people who love car racing and racing online.
