When i called them,he said they might extend my warranty for 3-6 months,he had 2 speak 2 his supervisor about it though!I only bought a ps3 4-5 months ago!Now i gotta wait another 15-20(minimum) working days!

My advice, do not play COD4.

Just search these forums and on google, you will see how many PS3's have broken down due to COD4.

COD4 ruins the blu-ray lens for some reason.

Peoples, yet another dead PS3 due to COD4, trust me I know my theory is correct. It is no coincidence that every PS3 which breaks has something to do with COD4......

Yeah i have noticed that,but also this time there was no warning,no flickering or shutting down...I put it in and it just didnt load!Well by the time i get it back,GTA 4 should be out so i'll probably stop playin COD after that

Personally I'm a bit skeptical about this... In all my time I've never heard of a computer games stuffing up the hardware... That also goes for DVD's and CD's...
Ultimately the Blu-ray device is reading 1's and 0's off the disc and I'm assuming no game would thrash the blu-ray faster or slower than any other...

It would be interested to see a survey of the failure rates of PS3's based on who owns COD4 and who doesn't... We could try it here, however I don't think we'd get a large enough sample...

Yea, that's what I reckon as well. The COD4 disc stuffing up their PS3? That's the biggest load of BS I've ever heard =/

Well can you tell me why so many PS3's have broken and the game people always played most was COD4?

It cannot simply be a coincidence. Not only that, its ALWAYS the same problem. Its always a disc reading error, and the last game the person plays is ALWAYS COD4.

Just go take a search on google and you will see what I mean, countless number of topics to do with COD4, broken PS3's and in particular, disc reading errors.

COD4 screws your disc drive/blue ray lens up and that is my final verdict, I am never going to play it.

Its not the fact that "everybody" plays it for too long. There just seems to be some technical glitch on the actual CD which some way some how screws up the blue ray lens.

The PS3 is designed to play games for hours and hours non stop.

Tell me this. Why is it always the same error (Disc read error) and why is it always the same game (COD4).

The only logical explanation is that COD4 somehow stuffs up the blu ray lens inside the PS3.
