Social \ WTF DIRT?!?!?!

Ok, on monday I bought dirt the game from dicksmiths for pc and I was like yay I get to play dirt, so I put it in to my computer and it installed and BOOM, It comes up with this protection thing that says I need do type in the serial number, so I said ok that's normal that's what all of my other games said, so I look in the packet and, no serial number, than I look in the manual and, no serial number, so this was starting to ping me off, so I went back to dicksmiths and the guy said he will go and look for the serial number in another game that they have in stock, after a while he comes back and says that none of the dirt games that they have have serial numbers, so he gave me a refund. after that I went to harvey norman and bought dirt for pc and went home and put it in to my computer and BAM!!! the same thing happened again and it the game still doesn't have a serial number

I JUST WANT TO PLAY DIRT!!!

. does anyone have any suggestions

Sometimes the key's are placed in weird positions, like on the inside of the case, or on the CD itself.
Usually when the game asks for the key though it tells you where to look..
