Same here I don't have a Sound Card either, Don't know what I can do about it but I have to resolve it soon.

DVI cable doesn't carry audio... u can use the white and red plugs from the cable that came with your PS3 to go into a stereo etc.. or and optical cable into an amp..

HDMI devices only ie PS3, xbox 360 or HD set-top box, into a monitor that has DVI (90% of LCD PC monitors have DVI but not HDMI) so in other words u can use a HDMI device on a DVI connection

Before you all rush out and buy this cable, check your monitor manufacturer's website, or the manual, and see if your monitor supports HDCP. If it doesn't you can't connect your PS3 to it, although a 360 will work.

I can confirm a ViewSonic VA1912W doesn't work with a PS3, nor does the LG L172WT.
