BundaH's Corner Issue #1

Hello all and welcome to BundaH’s Corner. Firstly – I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. Now, you’ve all read Heller’s Desk, and Gaetano’s legendary blogs, but I thought I might do my own blog series. Bare with me, this is to discuss topics involving gaming, movies, and anything particularly amusing. I’m open to discuss topics that you may present forth to me as well!

Here is just a little bit about what I’ve been playing this week/month, what I’ve been listening to, what I’ve been watching and so forth.

Games I’m Playing: Gears of War 2 (X360), Rock Band (X360), Fable 2 (X360), Super Mario Galaxy (Wii), De Blob (Wii), Singstar ABBA (PS2) . . . Yeah I’m a Singstar fan.

What I’m Watching: Iron Man, Foo Fighters LIVE in England, an assortment of mind-blowing television series involving anything from Family Guy to Dora The Explorer – thanks to my 3 year old nephew.

What I’m Listening To: Kid Rock – Rock N Roll Jesus album, The Travelling Wilburys Collection, Viva La Vida, Nick Skitz 27.

Now let’s have a look at the gaming year of 2008.

Earlier on in the year, we had DMC4, a great game, but more of a one-hit wonder in my opinion. It was a short-lived craze, but a good one.

R6V2 aka Rainbow Six Vegas 2 is the sequel to one of the top FPS shooters around. Tom Clancy has not only brought us great books, but also great games the likes of R6V2.

Grand Theft Auto IV - massively anticipated, high expectations, new story, everyone was craving this one. But with Saints Row 2 out, it is having to make room. It was good while you lasted Niko.

Kung Fu Panda – after Jack Black brought us the fully awesomeness of Kung Fu Mastery to the big screen, he also brought it to the video game world. It’s one for the casual gamer.

Madden NFL 09, flop or great? In between in my opinion. While I thought 06 and 04 were better, it’s good for those new to the franchise.

Pure - WOW! Absolutely amazing, who would of thought crazy, gravity defying ATV quad bike racing could be so great! I hope a lot of you got this one from Santa.

Fifa 09 – while I’m not a fan, it has definitely brought entertainment for a lot of people, and it would have to be the best in the franchise.

Saints Row 2 – Move over GTAIV, enough said.

Fallout 3 – Join the people from the vault, in a game that will have you on the edge of the seat.

Fable 2 – the second in the series to the best action RPG game on the Xbox. That should be enough to tempt you all.

Gears of War 2 – need I say more??!

Rock Band – we’ve waited a year, but a good one.

GH:WT – In my opinion, Rock Band is better *flamesuit engage!*, sorry boys and gals, I’ve been converted. But it will still entertain you. Mildly.

CoD: WaW – While Call of Duty 4 brought us to the modern era of warfare, World at War has taken us back – once again, you shouldn’t of done that to us.

Onto my first – and possibly last – topic of discussion of this blog. I trust everyone knows the books and/or movies the Chronicles of Narnia saga. Well, Disney has ditched the movies. Leaving the third-planned film – The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in the bin for some hobo to come along and pick it up again. For me, this is a disappointment, I thoroughly enjoy these movies.

Also, with Speed Racer just released on DvD, Warner Bros. have high hopes to bring the Mattel toy-line of Hot Wheels cars to the movie screen with the director of Speed Racer – Joel Silver.
