In Flower, the surrounding environment, most often pushed to the background in games, is pulled to the forefront and becomes the primary "character." The player fades from an external and stressful world in the opening of this fresh and genuine game only for PS3, and journeys through beautifully vivid landscapes, changing the his surroundings and exploring nature along the way.

Playing as the wind, the player guides and grows a swarm of pedals by interacting with other flowers and the surrounding environment. The goals and journey in each level vary, but all involve flight, exploration and interaction with the level. Using simple SIXAXIS wireless controls, the player guides the lead petal and accumulates a swarm of flower petals as he moves at his own pace within the environment, causing the on-screen world to change. Flower's gameplay offers different experiences, pacing and rhythm to all players. Along the way, the environment will pose challenges to the player’s progress. Both pastoral and at times chaotic, Flower is a visual, audio and interactive escape on PS3.

i love these abstract games.. the chillout atmoshpere.. the aesthetics..

OMG!!!!!! who the hell thought of this as an idea for a game i mean come on what is gaming coming to so basically you play as the wind blowing flowers around wooooooooooooow im sure this will be fun NOT and thats what you do throughout the game just blow petals around how lame we need more games like gta4 and call of duty and resident evil not a bloody wimp game where you blow petals around throught the whole whoever buys this they are wasting there time and money and i now believe that sony are making this they must be complete idiots i think i might change to microsoft xbox 360 if ps3 is just going to turn into crappppp!!!!!! and yes i am very angry what a waste of time sony

dude, there needs to be experimental games like this to push the boundaries of the video gaming experience. so what if its not ur cup of tea, doesn't mean it shouldn't be made.

If you are disappointed with Sony and PS3 and finding there aren't enough violent titles coming out for your liking (ie Killzone 2 and R2 etc arent enough) maybe get an xbox.

I'm a big fan of games that explore new boundaries, and this is certainly a game that does just that. It's not a game for adrenaline junkies. It's more for people who like to relax and enjoy the scenery. There's also a wonderful feeling involved in soaring skyward, rushing to the ground, and watching the grass part before your swarm of petals.

Perfect for relaxing after a stressing day, or if you're stoned.
