A new flash site has just gone live on Konami's Kojima Productions website. The flash site is barebones, showing them Konami logo and the above image with text that reads "A Next Metal Gear Is..."

The text is green, so make of that what you will. Konami logo is directly below.

It appears that neogaf members, have had a glimps at the real meaning behind the whole !+i fiasco. While looking up on the famitsu page, japanese speaking members there, read a too early, leaked statement from famitsu. They were stunned to see that it was all for Soda !

Famitsu, took it down after about 5 minutes, and replaced it.

it is an equation so i think any resemblance to the 360 console is purely conincidental. my hunch is that it's a new acid game for the ps3?.

- kojima has stated that the new 'metal gear' game is in development.
- also ryan payton casually mentioned that a new metal gear game is in development when talking about mgs4...so one could possibly assume that it will be for the ps3 - given that he casually mentioned it in an interview. If it were for the 360 then I'd assume he would have been very tight lipped about the nature of kojima productions next game.
- also, it says 'A next'. Given that it says 'A' instead of 'The', this is probably unrelated to the 'metal gear solid' series, and refers to something entirely new.
- given that kojima productions already developed mgs4 for the ps3 and thus have all the resources (like graphics engine i assume?) leftover from that game, it's highly likely that the game will be for the ps3, as well as possibly the 360?
- I doubt it will be for the PSP, not from a studio like kojima productions.
- Lastly, the only logical connection to the Metal gear universe in is the '!', so I think you have to take that lead and assume that it refers to a new acid game.

Its almost becoming like ground hog day for us PS3 owners, and my once lengthy bragging rights list of PS3 exclusives is beginning to shrink as it is.

Its like when FFXIII was announced multiplatform, did anyone see that big proud look on the guys face who made the announcement? He might as well as given PS3 investers the middle finger and a big "F you" to go with it. Abit of the gaming community died that day, so much hate and suicidal speech from fans on the forums and fan-made blogs it was actually alarming.

Having said that, even though nothing is set in stone yet about this message. I'm guessing its pretty clear cut, MGS4 on 360. The response and outcry if it does happen is going to be earth moving.
