Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Revealed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Revealed

Activision Blizzard has revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is in development. The title will be a direct sequel to 2007's game of the year Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward will once again be at the helm after Treyarch developed this years Call of Duty: World at War. The two developers alternate working on the Call of Duty titles, but Infinity Ward is the only of two with the rights to numerically name the title. It looks as though they've gone for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 rather than COD5 or should that have been COD6?

The game was announced at Massive Inc, an event to allow publishers to show off games to advertisers according to MTV Multiplayer.

Little more is known besides the fact that the game will return to Modern Warfare and will be released at this stage on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC in 2009.

Who cares what they call it..COD 4.2 Meh as long as it plays as good as COD4 I'll be more than happy and it would be nice to release the game complete, not sting us for a map pack later on.

Atleast in call of duty: Modern warfare 2 we can see if Gaz dies or not although he was shot in the head

Also i want to find out if Price survives... Wasn't he the one who was trying to be revived (The person who slides you the gun)

I'm the other way round pretty much with COD games only otherwise single player is very important, but right now I cbf finishing the World at War single player, it doesn't interest me compared to online.

I don't understand the hypocrisy of some of you saying "this will be a crap game" when you thought cod:world at war was the bees knees.

Of course it wont be awesome. It will be recycled. Just like world at war. Sure world at war got a few, small, negligable features, but in the end it wasnt new. The gameplay mechanics were copy and pasted into this game (along with the graphics and textures. which make the game epic fail)

Where's the fun if there's no violence in T or M games? I swear i'm buying more M rated games more than ever now.

And beside it's not the developers fault the way they like to make their games. You're 15, almost close to 17. Your parents still can't handle the fact you can play "violent" games?

Interesting, I'm thinking there isn't going to be anything really new or special in this upcoming Call of Duty. But I hope I'm wrong and that it will be even better than COD4.

Hmm, if you think about it Cod:WaW wasn't really anything new or special either but tons of people still bought it and find it fun (Including me.)
