News \ PlayTV and your Playstation 3

Today at the Leipzig Games Conference in Germany, Sony announced the release of PlayTV, an upcoming TV tuner and recorder specifically for your Playstation 3.

PlayTV will allow you to record your favourite television shows while also watching them through your Playstation 3. You will also have the ability to tape a show while watching another.

The PSP will also be used as a control for the device which will no doubt increase the already high attractiveness to the device

While PlayTV is to be released in early 2008 in most of Europe, there was no mention of a US, or more specifically, Australian release date.

Or mention of PlayTV, just "One of the expected announcements is a TV tuner for the PS3 that will enable the console to record digital-quality TV". It was officially announced, so front page news. If you had written an article on PlayTV then I wouldnt have made this one. So yeah, you didn't make news on it. If we only posted news on assumptions, which is what you're article is about, well then we wouldnt be a very good news source now would we
