New HD PlayTV Coming Soon

Australia will be the first to get Sony's new HD version of their PlayTV peripheral.

This Digital/DVR (Digital Video Recorder) unit will have twin HD Tuners, an EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) and also feature multi-channel audio playback, improved remote play usability, SD upscaling and support for Sony's AINO phone for remote play.

The new PlayTV box will be available later this month and cost under $200.

Hardware is still supposedly the same?? just updated the FW for it so that it can broadcast HD channels for Aus, whereas the UK doesn't have HD channels??
