News \ Sony: Yeah, whatever

”Yeah, whatever…look at all OUR PS3 exclusives”, Sony has blasted the way of Microsoft in reference to the XBOX 360’s exclusive episodic content for GTA IV.

If that isn’t enough to get XBOX fans’ blood boiling, then Sony’s opinion that people won’t buy the content anyway – initially – should be.

"...there's a lot of game to Grand Theft Auto and there's going to be a lot of game to Grand Theft Auto IV to the point where I think most people will have that Grand Theft Auto experience on the PS3, day and date, same core game shipping on the 360", Scott Steinberg, VP of Product Marketing at SCEA told GameDaily.

Referring to possible Spring content being released for GTA IV on 360, he stated that there’s ”a whole lot of product” releasing for PS3 in April as well.

"...I personally don't think there's going to be a huge percentage of folks who jump into downloadable content for another price when they're still playing through the core product," Steinberg continued.

"...I think that goes from tipping point to shoving point for consumers who are on the fence, wondering what platform should I buy... It's the elite of the elite products that actually enable hardware to be sold with software and we'll have three of them."

I'll get both versions but this is how it'll go, I have ordered the 360 special edition from JB hi-fi just so I can get all the extra goodies but not the ps3 version because I can order the regular edition from overseas sometime down the line and save half the price. Gotta love region free games!

p.s. its been confirmed for over a year that the DLC with be new missions etc

If you have all the other GTA on PS then why not get it on PS3? Also I have been reading that the PS3 version may look better
