Criterion Games has recently been working on a new update for Burnout which will
contain many cool new features. Cagney (codename for this project) will not be
supporting trophies. But Criterion Games has announced that an update will be
coming very soon for that. These feature will be listed and described in this
new article.
Timed Challenges:
Now if the Trophy Confirmation wasn't exciting for you, above is a screenshots of
one of the new Online Game Modes the will be included in Cagney. This will give you
and your friends more ways to race and compete.
If you have ever played online before with a couple of mates, you would be quite
fimiliar with the Freeburn Challenges. These challenges can range from racing in
oncoming-traffic to simply smashing through a billboard. An exciting new element in
Cagney will now put a timer to these Challenges.
When a Timed Challenge is started, players must meet in a specified place within Paradise
City. Once there, a timer begins to count down and the team of players must race to complete
a challenge in the world in the shortest time possible. If you’re all successful and beat the
clock, your best time is put on a leaderboard.
Timed Challenge Screenshots:
These new Screenshots show us 2 new cars that will be available. The Rossolini Tempesta Dream and a Hunter Steel Oval Champ.
Cagney will be a Free Update and will be available soon in Australia, America and Europe. The
official release date of Cagney will be released in 9 days!
