Sony has also reportedly told the media that the PlayStation Store face lift on PS3 will no longer use the PS3 Web browser, and will require new firmware upgrade version 2.30. The facelift is said to be much faster and cache all images correctly.

Sony has yet to confirm the facelift release date for North America.

Emulation is said to be entirely software based, regardless of the PS3 you own, and is apparently 'rock solid' with full texture upscaling rather than just blowing up the rendered image. We'll have more on this as soon as it's confirmed 100%.

I think the are saying the PS2 games can only be purchased via DL from the PSN Store, not sure if you'll be able to play any original PS2 game discs on your 40gb PS3 too. But maybe I'm missing something here?

Anyhow, major April Fools I suspect so not getting my hopes up too much. Bas*ards.

Why not?
If they put the best game there to download, it would probably work out great. Plus most would be 4GB, which is nothing if you compare it to Warhawk.
Plus then hopefully people would stop complaining about the non backwards compatability with the 40GB model.
