apparently its only release early for PS3 because they say 'it didn't had a release date on the game so when they received it they release it now' but my theory is they had a glitch in the orders and EB mite get into trouble from the publishers.

You just press R1, then this circles up ... where you use your d-pad to select the controls (i.e. up down left or right)
