After playing up to rank 10 I jumped back on COD4 to make an informed judgement. COD4 seems more responsive and intense. It is totally cluastrophobic and atmospheric compared to BF/BC. But BF/BC is more of a tactical game with the variety of choices on offer and the size of the maps. When I was young I played Falcon on an Amiga and used to say, "Wouldn't it be call if you could land and get out and there were people and tanks running around and you could blow up the buildings and the trees and stuff." In a way Battlefield Bad Company is the game I have been wanting to play all of my life. The infantry control is not as good as COD4 but it is not as arcady as quake or warhawk either. The grenade launcher will blast through walls but the splash damage hardly ever kills people while the grenade hardly ever damages walls but the splash damage will kill people. This is sort of fake but the game is intensely fun and addictive. Possibly easier to get some kills than COD4 also. Getting a bit board of defending crates but...

and just as a side note, they tonned down the splash damage of the grenade lanucher during the games BETA trails as it was way to easy to kill people with it.

I finished Single Player today, admittedly I really liked the game and definitely will be replaying it more than once (unlike CoD4).

Had an awesome match on Harvest Day earlier today... manned a TOW Missile and the enemies kept coming in loaded tanks across the fields... managed to get the Full House and 3 of a Kind Wildcard trophies before my 1st death... was on 286pts after my 1st death

bought this game friday night and have only played it twice... I played one mission on single player and it bored me to tears.. didnt make me want to keep playing like COD4 and they say alot of cheesy things... that's pretty lame and makes me wanna snap my game in half. But the multiplayer is fun even though there is only one mode. Before anyone shoots me for being a COD4 fanboy.. i am not, even though the game was good it is not how everyone makes it out to be.

i think ill just whip out BFBC when im really bored and wanna have some online fun

Here's a question, someone may have already posted something about this but is anyone having 5-10 second freeze ups when playing online?
It makes you think its fully frozen up then just as you start to approach the PS3 to reset it, bang, its back in action. Its like its toying with me. Does it a fair bit in particular matches.

Yeah i just read on another forum that instead it can be due to high ping and lag, so instead of it just lagging like it would on any other game, it is freezing to catch up.... not cool.
Wish there was a way to join aussie games and not get thrown into distant servers.

@J-San: from what I can see this game is NOT server locked. I played against some people with symbols for a name the other day, so I'm guessing they were Asian (and was right after I checked their profile under Players Met).
