Fair go...didn't you hear they cut out some of GTA-IV's features...like his education?
On a more serious note...I don't think people are having heart attacks about the edits, it's just that if we can get the full version elsewhere then why the hell wouldn't you get that instead of the Aus one? Whether you get off on animated porn or not is a separate matter, and it's cheaper to import as well

One minute your telling people they are idiots because they are cancelling their order to import, next your saying it's a good idea. Think about what your going to say before you say it next time, I'm glad you saw your error atleast.
I was going to preorder it but now after all this might just wait and see what has been taken out of it before I buy it, Prologue is keeping me more than pre occupied for the time being.

To be honest if I didnt get my special edition for so cheap ($100 from JB) i'd cancel in a heartbeat and just import... but nah, surely it couldnt have been cut back THAT much. Rockstar will probebly release the details after its gone on sale to stop people from cancelling their preorders no doubt.

i dont know about anyone else, but i used to love sitting down to san andreas and watch the life that was carl johnson. he was a gangster and gangsters swear, aswell as have the whole sexual activity going on such as strip clubs and wat not. GTA IV is no different, niko is a gangster and will do all those things aswell. and thats wat we love so much about Rockstar, they make realistic games, meaning NO HOLES BARED in raw games like GTA. and for IV to b relistic, i feel, those things need to be included to get the full experience, and we are not going to get that.

Yea but its a game to play and have fun. If you want swearing and sex, watch a god damn movie. More percent of the worlds gamers are under 18 and there is no need for it in a game. Some swearing is ok but not all of it is needed. And there is definetely no need for sex in a damn game.

Well swearing and sex fall into 'Adult Themes' and I, to some extent and I stress to some extent believe that swearing and sex when used correctly and artistically to further the meaning of a scene is good in fact I actually encourage it. But when things are abused, and believe me you see it everywhere, that’s when I disapprove of it. I mean sex is a beautiful thing symbolizing the unity between a man and a woman but the mass media so often desecrates it and turn it into something nasty and filthy when really it’s pure and beautiful.

but the Australian versions of san andreas and vice city were also edited. Just because its edited doesn’t mean that they took huge parts of the game out. Or they got rid of all the sex drugs and language in the game.

Exactly. Thankyou longarms. And Valeroso has made a point. The sex in GTA isnt about love, its about paying prostitutes to have sex with the character. It just isnt right to have in a game.
Games started off with spyro and crash bandicoot. Did they have swearing and sex in them?
The games are being evoled to a greater mass of content. But its not always good content being added. Take for example, SEX AND STRONG COURSE LANGUAGE IN GRAND THEFT AUTO!!

I think you are really missing the point here man, it's not the sex people care about it's the sexual humour and inuendos contained in the game that makes this much more realistic and enjoyable to play.
To me the whole point of Grand Theft Auto is to give you as close representation of the real world as possible which I'm sorry to inform you strongly contains swearing and sex, I'm sure 1/4 of my conversations in real life contain either one or the other of those topics, then again I'm a 20 year old male so that would have to be expected.
This is not an under 18 game I don't care what rating it has.
You pretty much summed it up in one of your previous posts letting us know the main reason you want this game is for the killing which is kinda scary to me and a reason I think your parents shouldn't let you be playing it.
