News \ E3 2008 - New 80GB PS3

At Sony's E3 2008 press conference, it was announced that a new 80GB PS3, with the same overall functionality of the 40GB PS3 model, will become the standard PS3 console on the market. It will replace 40GB units and will cost the same as the current PS3.

The box shown during the conference indicated that the new version will also come with a DualShock 3 controller.

some people dont spend $1000 just to be able to play games and thats all

if you dont want/need the extra capabilities of the ps3, go buy a 360

40 > 80gb = *meh* HDD prices have plummetted... and you're only delaying the inevidble (for most ps3 owners IMHO)
