Since we dont have a mypc.com.au yet and I dont like the old SCII topic names. I have started a new SCII discussion.

Few days ago there were rumours that SCII beta date has been set but still a mystery as to when it is. My guess is june at the earliest.

More info from ESL is out. The following information from starcraft.4players.de has been translated by Drakkart:

Now generally I would take that rumour and throw it in the rubbish but Blizzard has announced a competition to win a beta key. Therefore confirms that they DO have a set date for the beta. ^^ Yay

I used to love starcraft. But i have all but given up on pc games. Every new game that comes out means another upgrade to a pc to get them to work properly. Im sick of spending money on pc's, so sadly i wont be getting this.

How long has it been since I've Zerg rushed pitiful souls ?

Nearly 10 years (me thinks)

and this game looks as though its never coming, Hopefully it doesn't get canceled after all this hype.

I used to love playing custom tower defense games online heaps of fun.

Sounds good man. I have never even played SC but have always been tempted and have heard it is an awesome game.
Might have to check out the original before the new one drops.

I might have been interested in SC2 5 years ago when warcraft became boring, but not now.

I thought Ghost made it to PC but nothing else?

Pretty keen to see this game, but as noted by SpaceSteve... each time a new PC game comes out you need to spend a stack of money to have a PC powerful enough to play it.

Will be awesome, but they really have waited too long for this and it will no doubt require a ridiculous PC. I think I'd rather go buy 10 new games than spend $1k on PC upgrades just to play one game!

I really dont understand blizzard at all. Starcraft and diablo have to be one of the most popular PC franchises ever, yet they take 10 years to pop out a sequel to them.
