it says the servers in Japan still up and have no problem. But servers outside Japan will be shut down at 15:00 which is 16:00 in AUS time. And reopen time is not decided yet, it might be tomorrow 16:00. Shame on you KONAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

現在「METAL GEAR ONLINE PREMIERE β」は、全世界からのアクセス集中により、正常なサービスが提供できていない状況となっております。

特に、ヨーロッパ地域でのベータテストが開始された2008.04.21 07:00以降、プレイヤーの作成が出来ない等、重大な障害が発生しております。

この状況を鑑み、日本以外でのベータテスト実施を一度中断し、日本向けサービスの安定稼働が確認された後、各地域でのテストを再開させていただく事といたします。

ご参加をいただいております皆様には、大変ご迷惑をおかけいたしております事、深くお詫び申し上げますとともに、ベータテストへのご協力、お願い申し上げます。

なお、ベータテスト開始当初の障害発生に伴い、ベータテスト実施スケジュールを変更させていただきます。

今後のスケジュールにつきましては、下記をご確認ください。

日本以外のベータテスト中断：2008.04.21 15:00実施予定

サーバーメンテナンス：未定（2008.04.22 15:00に改めてご連絡いたします。）

ベータテスト終了日：2008.05.06 24:00 → 2008.05.11 24:00

スケジュール等に変更がある場合には、当サイトにて改めてご連絡いたします。

I AGREE COMPLETELY!!!! They seriously SHOULD have anticipated this and as if they didn't know that there were goin to be these many fans! I think they rushed through the beta preparations and now they have shut down the servers outside Japan!!! Shame on u KOnami...

As a temporary measure, we will be suspending the European public beta test and restart it once we stabilize our server.

1) Suspend beta test: As of 21/04/2008 08:00(CEST)

3) Beta Test closure: This will now be on 11/05/2008 at 24:00(CEST) rather than 06/05/2008 at 24:00(CEST)

but im sure konami (or whoever is causing these problems) are doing all they can, as quickly as they can, to make it all better.
really isnt any use in complaining, nothing our complaint can do to help.. so i'll just sit back and wait patiently.. i have a book to read, and a last exile dvd to watch.. so im set!

where would we go to provide [constructive] feedback on the beta?
cos i have a suggestion for konami to allow extra functionality that the beta currently doesnt have (ie, with regard to the auto-sign-in feature) .. but there's no site, or clear way of contacting them with feedback.. hopefully it will be released later when people have cooled down a bit..

KONAMI themselves said they expected MGS/MGO to be the biggest PS3 release for '08. Common sense tells you to make available more servers than you expect you'll need. What a lame company. I hope KOJIMA get a new publisher. Not good for business.
