I understand what you are saying iaculch, And personally I think along the same lines, but hey If you can tune your TV into the foxtel signal then I'd consider it free. But if you have to buy a sat and a fake smartcard and a decoder box then I'd say it's not.

This may be so but he wants "foxtel" , these channels are free for a reason, they really aint worth watching unless you have a particular interest in them. Im not exactly sure what the list of "free" channels are but if its anything like the free channels you can watch on the internet I wouldnt bother.

30 divided by 22 $1.35 a channel
80 divided by 70 $1.15 a channel

there was a crackdown a couple months ago where the australian federal police had raided houses because ppl were recieving free cable tv...... apparently they had bought some sought of sim card that inserted into the deckbox, enabling you to watch the channels on foxtel
