Midnight Club Los Angeles- The Review - 9/10
Midnight Club Los Angeles, Abbreviated to MC:LA , is one of the latest additions to the midnight club franchises, in which improves greately from its predecessors. As the title does say, Midnight
Club Los Angeles is Los Angeles, But modified just a little for the better racing expectations. Although its not a complete replica of Los Angeles, its a great way for Rockstar to show how hard
they work to please Gamers. Midnight Club Los Angeles takes you into the most intense spots in L.A, with some tight corners in some places, and many secret shortcuts which will make sure you win
not only cash, but rep. Midnight Club Los Angeles has been a blast for me, one game that is truly hard to put down after starting.
The Game
Midnight Club Los Angelees is an illegal street racer, with more features than midnight club 3. In Midnight Club, racing is a way of life. its not just a race. Winning is crucial. Midnight Club has
done the job right with a highly detailed map which features the important parts of Los Angeles, and on top of that , South Central L.A Map will be added for free to your collection. Now thats perfection.
The feel is right, the graphics are great with some unfortunate hiccups. But apart from that, the game is a great addition to any rev head's collection of racer games. Just by looking at the cover,
you feel like it is the right game for you. A perfect Christmas Present for anyone, any age.
The Graphics
Midnight Club has got some great visuals, although missing the Euphoria Engine which was featured in the critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto IV. The car detail is great, with textures of the map
coming up very vibrant. Although, in some T.V's the textures have problems loading, which end up in the game becoming blurry, the only method in fixing this is starting a race which will cause the
map to re-load. Apart from that the visual effects are great, with the cars and motorbikes looking all fancy. It is a shame it is missing, like I said before, missing the Euphoria engine, because ,
the car damage is very basic. But that dosent stop a great experience
The Sound
Midnight Club has a very unique sound track , featuring most genres, from heavy metal to electronica. Ontop of that, There is the Custom SoundTrack avaliability for those who enjoy listening to their
own tunes while racing or cruising LA. The car sounds are great, and there isnt many problems with sound.
The Online
Midnight Club Los Angeles has a variety of online modes. There is the option to cruise online with up to 16 players, race in a variety of modes, featuring capture the flag and more . there is also
race creator, which enables you to create your own races for use in online gameplay. Another great feature is "rate my ride" , which gives the more artistic people a chance to show off their sleek
rides, with the option to make it for sale, which gives you profit in your offline account. There isnt many problems with online so far. There is also Downloadable Content coming soon , the South
Central Los Angeles Map Pack , and the South Central Car Pack + Music, which you have to pay for. The Map Pack is Free.
Overall
In Midnight Club Los Angeles There may be a shortage of cars (40) and sometimes frustrating AI, but its a very enjoyable game, with more cars on their way Via DLC. The AI takes a while to get used to, since they just slingshot right past you, but after mastering skills in driving you can maneuver your way past them
The Verdict
Graphics - 8/10
Sound - 9/10
Online - 9/10
Game - 9/10
Value - 9/10
Overall - 9/10
I think that midnight club los angeles is a must have game for anyone who enjoys racing games, and is a great christmas present, for anyone of any age.
