Burnout paradise continued (see first post at bottom of page for the begining)
- Related to this, is that you will lose events. Except in burnout paradise there is no way to restart a race once you've realized you can no longer win, which can diminish the enjoyment of the game.
Room for improvement:
- motorbikes racing vs cars would be awesome
- not too sure about this, but would be nice to see some rag doll effects (although it will probably get a M rating).
- More jumps! More crazy stuff, like jumping from building to building, or w/e. I think the game needs to take a page out of san fransisco rush, and add like a theme park/stunt area, with loop-to-loops, a heap of different jumps etc.
- deeper car customization, purely for asethics.
Final words:
The game obviously won't last forever, and I've since moved on to other games but with future dlc content (e.g. a new island, and cars) there is incentive to keep this in your game library. Furthermore, it is one of the premier arcade racing titles on ps3, and whilst I'm not sure how it will compare to Motorstorm 2, MCLA, or NFS UC, the game is a must have if you have not played it, or a burnout game so far. Although bear in mind, paradise city is BIG, and will take sometime to familiarize with but once you're familar with the map, it's a blast to play. Additionally, the lack of a quick restart option is a bummer but if you can get through these two aspects of the game, then it's great fun while it lasts.
