MyPS3 Feature Guitar Hero 5

Well I posted this on mybuzz.com.au but had no response there so thought Id ask you all your opinions on this iPhone.

Just after some opinions on this iPhone. It really is about time I upgraded my phone & Ive been considering the iPhone but Ive had some conflicting opinions from friends.

Is the battery life bad, how long will it last when turned on & also how long before the battery is no good ? Is it true its basically cheaper to buy a new phone than replace a Apple battery for the iPhone or iPod etc ?

Ive never owned a iPod or any of these "cool" new toys & I was thinking if I got the iPhone it would basically cover all my needs, phone, music, video, apps & games for when not at home. I dont need a iPod on its own as I dont think Id ever want to have 80gig of music at my disposal so the iPhone should be fine.

Ive been told that I really should wait for the next generation maybe in the middle of next year, any opinions on that ?

Finally, how well does the iPhone function as a phone ? ,as it will proberly get more use making calls or sms than anything.

Over priced for the features it lacks, when compared to other smart phones in its price range. Not even worth it as a contract phone upgrade, imo. AVOID!!!!!

can you tell me some of the other "smart" phones to look at then ?

I wont be paying for any phone, Ill go on a contract like I usually do, proberly stick with optus on a 59 to 79 cap, iPhone is only $4 a month on $79 cap for a 16gig or $0 for the 8gig

Nokia one for the same price would be alot better.

Apple just marketing heaps they still suck with every product they make and they also said the iphone is better in terms of graphics then the psp and ds combined.

That one little statement making me not buy any of there products i would rather go with sony ericsson good quality products

I won't even buy an apple ipod and went with diffrent one since apple=rip off

I think they are great! Most of the Apps are free, you can store full movies onto them, the screen is multi-touch, it is quite a good phone, the 3G network is fast and good. The only bad thing about it is the camera. Have a look at this video, it made me fall in love with the iPhone.

who cares about a phone camera...if you wanna take pics the only way to go is to buy a 8megapixel stand alone camera.

If your gonna whinge and say its got a **** camera that's like sooking the ps3 is crap to browse the internet on.

I dont care so much about camera part, I just want a good phone with lots of apps & games, good mp3 & movie player & decent amount of space to store music & videos

so would it be between a iPhone & a nokia E71 or N96 , I not interested in any of phonmes other than nokia or iPhone , maybe one them blackberry things but I have to be able to get it for free or nearly free on a phone contract, I dont want a iTouch as I want everything in one system, I dont want to be carrying 2 toys around

All I can say is:

Good design making it appealing for customers to buy.

On the other hand it has crap features. Like when I say crap, even a 300 buck nokia phone could crap all over it features wise.
