Good online games?

Hi all,

I mostly only play online games, I can't stand single player because it gets tiresome.

Can someone suggest a good online game for me to buy? I already have: GTA4, COD4, COD5, MC:LA, Burnout Paradise, and I bought Warhawk but I'm going to return it today because it's a terrible game.

I like games to do with cars or shooting. Thanks.

You're pretty much got the cream of the crop right there. Killzone 2 is a must have on PS3, and Red Faction: Guerilla has a pretty awesome online mode. Surprisingly good actually. But yeah, Killzone 2 is the must have title you need.

I had a feeling I should have got Killzone 2. Is it really as good as people make it out to be? I liked the look of Bad Company, how about that instead?

Also, I hate fantasy games. Killzone is bordering on fantasy to me since it doesn't look realistic but I will give it a shot anyway.

Killzone is not "fantasy". It's more futuristic shooter. Fantasy is Folklore. It's a pretty good online.

Battlefield Bad Company is an awesome online game but you might as well wait for Battlefield Bad Company 2 which should be out early next year i think.

It's not very heavily populated that much anymore though.

Futuristic is fantasy to me. I like the past or present.

I'd go with Bad Company, but you say it isn't heavily populated anymore? At times COD4 doesn't seem like it's heavily populated either (have had to wait 5 minutes to find a server at times) but that's probably just bad timing.

I use to love BF2 on the PC.

Go for it then. But in terms of quality, Killzone 2 offers a substantially better online experience.

Then you would hate me, i though im a very offence sniper i like to get up close and personal, got pretty good a noscoping people in BFBC.

Well BFBC isnt heavily population but still populated. my mates and i still play regularly only thing that will stop that is BFBC2. Knifetoneck if u find bfbc cheap which i probably will, get it. And if your anything like me you will love collecting dog tags in BFBC.

I'm not a sniper. I'm like a jack of all trades and master of none.
Sniping is good when I'm too tired to wanna move around.

I'd be happy buying BFBC and then getting BFBC2 when that comes out, not like I have anything else to spend my money on.

I'd love to get BF1943, I use to have tons of fun playing the 1942 demo back in the day.. but AFAIK you can't buy it in a store? My internet is too slow and the limit is too small to be downloading games off PSN store.

its not like halo with pulse laser guns and proton missiles it has guns similar to modern day weapons from the M82 that looks like the british SA80 and the STA-52 which looks similar to a french FAMAS assault rifle and the gun physics is almost real.

don't worry even in pitch darkness u can see the red eyes of the higs (aka helghans) mask or the Vecktans blue light on their armour even in sand storms their easily to shot.

Red eyes? Masks? Vecktans? Helghans? I think I'll go with BFBC.
I found Halo really fun though. I just can't enjoy a game with a dark and futuristic setting.

No, hardly ever..
There WAS a time when everybody played Soldier Of Fortune 1 (for example..) on 56k, and there was hardly any lag issues. 'Slow' internet players just have a stigma attached to them. I have ratios of 20/3 on COD4 every now and then so no I don't "lag a lot". As long as the server is hosted in Australia by somebody with a decent connection, I have full green bars.

I see all these great single player games, with features that reviewers and developers brag about, but in my opinion a game comes down to how it plays in multiplayer. If it's going to be a bad multiplayer (or no multiplayer at all) game, then it has no replay value. That is why I only go for games with great multiplayer.

I don't feel that I need to explain myself but I'll do so anyway.

My download speed is 30kb/sec and I have a 2gb limit.
On the occasions that I cap my limit, I'm down to 7kb/sec.
Either way, my online experience doesn't change and I don't lag up the server.

If you feel better paying more money for a faster internet, then that's no problem, I just think it is unnecessary unless you're playing games with 60 people in the server (Resistance 2, anyone?).

But, if you can get hold of it somehow BF1943 is easily the best value for money
