Oops, it looks like a PlayStation forum moderator has slipped up a little and dropped a big bombshell: Grand Theft Auto IV: Lost and the Damned may be coming to the PS3.

In a thread that has now unsurprisingly been deleted, Yaster, who is part of the moderation team for the European forums, was talking about his visit to the Rockstar booth at Gamescom and had this interesting thing to say,

And they were certainly showing some PS3 love – Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned was available to play in a special 18+ area, we didn’t manage to get our hands on it due to the MASSIVE queue – but those inside looked pretty ***** excited.



The fact that this post has been deleted adds more weight to the significance of what was said. It appears to be a straight confirmation of the existence of the game for the PlayStation 3.

since I have a 360 but my GTA 4 is on my PS3, I am gonna buy GTA 4 Liberty Stories on 360 which contains both DLC and you dont need GTA 4 to play it (I think)

I think this is great news, GTA started console-wise on Playstation and so deserves this long overdue content. Bit strange though if Microsoft paid all that money just for timed exclusivity i mean that was a lot of money

If this is true, I'm really happy.
Even though I purchased Lost and Damned on my Xbox 360, I think I might purchase again because PS3 is my default fav console

Yeah i agree. Rumours are saying next year for a new game so i would rather wait...i wasnt that into gta anyway.

Most likely late 2010 or early 2011 for the next GTA game TL&D is alot of fun though, there's no slow start like in Niko's story You kill about 50 people in the first 3 missions alone xD
