Or just log onto wikipedia and read up on the series up till MGS4, then you'll be ready to play.

Gaetano you are leaving rations equipped aren’t you. As you will heal your self instantly when you get to 0 health if you have them equipped in the item window.
Cause I didn’t die once when I versed octopus

Been playing MGS4 and its awesome. I find it too easy though ive got it on Solid Normal and i havnt died once and im in to Act 5. Also the cutscenes are just way too long i switched on today loaded my save and waited a whole hour before i got to play i enjoy watching them as i love the story but thats a bit much. And is it me or is there hardly any gameplay? When you get to play its totally awesome dont get me wrong but its just small bits here there connected with super lengthy cutscenes

Try playing it on "big boss hard" or "the boss extream" that makes game really really hard.
And yeh towards the end there is a lot of movies to watch.

LOL yeah i am palying it on boss extreme now (and skipping the scenes) while trying not to kill anyone. It's so damn hard i am geting mauled

I still cant get over the battle with Laughing Octopus. i loved some of the surprises she had coming, some of which totally had me fooled lol...i cant beat her atm Anyone else find her laugh f4rking freaky!!!???
