Well like many reviews has said "not really aimed for new comers to the game" I can agree.
it isn't an Easy story to understand but I still think Australia should of got MGS Essentials on release to boost up sales and for people to get the chance to understand and play the Previous games.

Well, Konami have officially announced that the PAL territories (EU/AU) will be getting the Database patch for MGS4 this Thursday (26/06) on the PS store along with the weekly updates! 
At least it was only a week late!

The database was already translated, as all the languages were on the JP and US versions. It's just the gaming world hating PAL again. :[

Umm, guys ... who here has the soundtrack?
You know how when you have the MGS4 game selected on the XMB (have it highlighted under GAME) and it shows a hi-res pic and plays that awesome tune? And shows an animated icon of Snake aiming a pistol at Liquid?
What's that song called? Does anyone know? xD

I've got the soundtrack, but I didn't really find the XMB icon music that memorable so I don't know what it is. P:
I reckon having the XMB put the background with Old Snake (that face picture that they have on the US boxart) with the Love Theme would be soo much better for the game icon. :]

Crap, I just realised, it's a PART of one of my favourite songs. I love the bit that plays when Snake is running down the hall with the flashbacks in his head. The track is Guns Of The Patriots. P:
Buy the soundtrack! It's definitely worth it.

Just recently purchased a PS3 to compliment my 360. Got MGS4 as well and all I can say is, WOW. I've never played any of the other MG games, but this one is amazing. The presentation, graphics, everything, is just sweet!
