i think you have to press the 1 before..

if you're dialling from a land line, you dial 0011 + 1 + area code + tel number..

Telstra told me to try: 0015 001 817 722 7720 or 0015 1 817 7720

Which is what Crazynites said earlier ...

lol, Julian. You're correct, but for phone calls.
Faxes is different. Hence the 0015 instead of 0011.
But it's just that, I didn't know how an international fax number is compiled together (whereas I know for an international phone number: 0011 + country code + region code + phone number).

it has nothing to do with ea , its the australian music distributors that are squabbling over licencing rights thats is holding rockband back down under

just buy rockband 1 now an the rockband 2 disk when its released well worth it , an added benifit is the rockband guitar AND drums will also work with guitar hero world tour as announced at E3 by activision

when using the rockband drums in guitar hero world tour the drum notes will be compressed back to 4 notes instead of the 5 you would get if you were on the guitar hero drums

likewise guitar hero world tour guitars an drums will work on rockband 2

I think I'm prepared to fork out USD300 for it ...

My Entropay account has the Verified by Visa (VbV) code attached to it - hoping this will avoid problems with Gamestop before October.

Crazynites - just an option, but I have a second drum kit (keep it as a spare - was just gunna list it on fleabay closer to October) I can sell you - hell, even a spare RB guitar if you want that too. Means you'd only have to hunt down the disc seperately (any USB mic will do).

If ur keen, lemme know and I could work out a price for you

Yea, I'm aware of that. I only use it as an approximation.
Commonwealth Bank also charges a 2.5% international transaction fee. Something around that figure.

October 19 seems to be the release date.

We'll see if they require me to fax them a copy of my bank statement or something.

I have 3 months (until October) to get that sorted

I've bought a Nyko Frontman from them before, so maybe it's all good? Seeing that I'm using the same credit card, same shipping address ...

When they try to verify your account they will send you a email asking you to send the fax of your bank statement within 3 days or they will cancel your order.
