Actually I don't think that is going too far. There are many things about religion you can believe, which while I don't agree with are fair enough. But to deny the earth is considerably older than 8000 years, something that has conclusively proven and is thoroughly accepted by modern day theologists is absolute idiocy. It is no different that believing the earth is flat.

Carbon dating is not a theory it's an established fact.
Darwinism is not an established fact, however it is an incredibly strong theory.
The big bang is a theory, which is good but far from being conclusive.

I dont think people should accuse people that have had spiritual experiences of being schizophrenic, or liars. An encounter with God, is a spiritual encounter, and being a spiritual being, it's not so hard to imagine.

Have any of you seen the exorcist? Can you honestly tell me you dont believe in demons?

I wasn't accusing anyone of being schizophrenic. My point is that many people including the perfectly sane hear things that are simply not there.

Um, the Exorcist is just a movie based on a story and with every movie of it's genre it's grossly exaggerated. Even if it were absolutely true, there are many explanations which are more probable than "demons".

Nonsense. Athiests are no more likely to commit crime.
It's an absolute falacy we get our morals from the bible. If we did, we would be stoning people for working on Sundays, executing homosexuals amongst, sacrificing our kids etc etc...
If you look at the facts, crime has invariably declined over the past 40 years and so has religion.

i dont belive in religion, i believe in what is right and what is wrong.... that is what will stop me from killing people or other crimes, it has nothing to do with religion. People do things coz they are not right in the head or pushed to extremes. There as many christians and muslims in jails as there is atheists

Considering there are so few Athiests that they don't even get counted on the Census, to claim they are usually responsible for committing horrible crimes is laughable...
