Hey guys, cool thread.. I'm a christian, and have very strong creationist beliefs, so I welcome the discussion. Would be good to see people being respective of each others thoughts, else the discussion will be forced to close.
Anyway, before I get too far into it, I'd like to compare the theory of evolution, with the theory of creation, in one quick point. Evolution started, where? God started, where?
Both ideas, both theories, cannot be explained in any 'natural' sense. Any idea has to start with a supernatural concept.
The concept of Christianity, is based on spirituality. You're a spiritual being, in a sense.. which determines your being, your heart and thoughts and emotions. You were created, you were designed, you were made in God's perfect image. You weren't chanced into existence by a big bang that dropped a whole buncha stuff around which eventually turned into you. Love, think about love. Think about tastes. How did evolution determine your abililty to choose, your ability to love? Your spirit, your character, was designed by God.
The world, and its innermost intricacies, are perfectly designed. Everything has its place, has its purpose. Nothing is there by chance or by accident.
