I just downloaded linux for ps3. and i cant burn it on to a dvd cause it doesnt support the format it is. (iso) i use a program called sonic, which is the burning program which came with my laptop. anyone can help me??

You have a toshiba don't you? I don't see why an .iso file wouldn't burn...hmmm i'll think about it.

I'd grab a demo of nero off the net and use that to burn off the iso...

if nero dosnt do it for you then google a program called burn4free its really good and as the name states its free.

ive formatted the drive, now just tryin to put yellow dog on a dvd, but this stupid program wont let me cause it dont support the format.. im installin to try and find out wat u can do and see if its any good or not.. wen installin make sure u back up your game saves and ect onto a protable drive or something, cause u lose it all wen u format ur ps3

im on the actual terrorsoftsolutions site. in the installin page wer it tells u evrything bout and how to do, wen installin the linux onto the ps3.. now downloadin nero7 trial hopefully this lets me put iso file on a dvd.. hehe thanks anyways, and that site errored wen i clicked on that link..

the only down side to linux on the ps3 is you cant run any 3-d apps like games and stuff cause they lock out most of the GPU so that you cant run pirated games.

Hmm you shouldnt have to format your ps3's hard drive, it should just make a partition out of unused space. Nero should do the job just burn the image to dvd and you'll be set mate.

umm i did the uick format so the linux would have like is own seperate space.. i just did wat the installation thing said, now its time to burn linux onto dvd then into the ps3 hehe.. thanks

to burn the .iso you need to mount that .iso image by using something like daemon tools/alcohol 120% etc.

then you burn those files from the .iso image onto a disk.

Why not try ImgBurn, if Nero doesn't work, and best thing about it, is that is free.

ok, i think ive done something wrong, on program 'sonic' i pressed make it compadible(sry bout spelling) so it made the program different or something.. now it says its an image file or something? ive burnt it on a dvd tried to run it through system settings but it didnt pick up any applications or something, anyone kno wat ive done, ive then downloadin some program called,cd burner xp pro 3, whcih converts and burns it as an iso image.. but it aint working, ive used 5 blank dvds alrdy lol.. only got 12 left haha? do i need to re download the original file 3.6gb again?? or have i burnt it rong?

You've burnt it wrong i'd say! Just download alcohol 120% and burn the image to dvd with that!
