inFAMOUS Movie in the works

Screenwriter Sheldon Turner pitched the idea for an inFAMOUS film to Sony Pictures, who instantly bought the rights to the smash hit game soon to be turned into a feature film.

"What excited me most about the game was it was the first of which I've come across that had a big idea and a character arc," Turner said. "It is, I believe, the future of gaming. The game, while big and fun, is at its core a love ballad to the underachiever, which is what our hero, Cole McGrath, is."

Turner is best known for writing the screenplay for the 2005 remake of "The Longest Yard" starring Adam Sandler. He has also written a script for the newly announced movie X-Men Origins: Magneto.

Signed on to produce the film are Avi Arad and Ari Arad, who have produced hits such as "The Incredible Hulk" & "Iron Man"; they are also attached to produce the movie adaption of "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" PS3 game.

Sony Pictures and Sony Computer Entertainment are currently negotiating a deal for the movie rights.
