Marvel stopping "crappy" movie games
Marvel is done making "crappy" movie based games according to Marvel Executive Vice President of Global Digital Media Group Ira Rubenstein. Joystick was told that while Marvel would like to continue to tie games with releases of movies, the characters would do best by sticking to their own worlds. The recent X-Men Origins: Wolverine game is an example of what he would like his company to do.
Rubenstein said: We are not doing movie-based games anymore,
Actually, wait ... we are not doing crappy movie-based games anymore. You can quote me on that.
Rubenstein is happy with the current progress of
Iron Man 2 and
Thor. With
Wolverine as the example, it seems that future games based on movies won't be watered-down Hollywood entertainment, well at least they'll try not to be.
