Playstation 3 Price Cut is a ''Great Move'' says Electronic Arts

Mid-way through 2009, Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision said they may well stop supporting Sony as their consoles are too expensive to develop for and for consumers to buy.

However, with the recent announcement of the PlayStation 3 Slim came along side a price drop of USD $100 (The Australian RRP has seen a drop of AUD $200, but we still pay more than those in the US). Since the announcement, Electronic Art's CEO of Game Publishing, John Rohn Riccitiello has changed his tune.

He had told the media that Sony's price cut with the Playstation 3 is a "bold move done precisely at the right time."

He continued saying that the price cut was a "great move," especially as it wasn't left until Christmas. As more technology will be released during the holiday season Riccitiello said that a price cut during the middle of August "really stands out."
