The contrast ratio on the tv coeboose mentions is pathetic (3000:1), and the x series (30000:1) will soon be replaced by newer models with higher specs at the same price point.
Samsung's equivalent to the 'x' offers a 50000:1 contrast ratio and a 4ms response, Its also considerably cheaper than the currant x series.
Sony Australia are clearing old stock, if you can score a bargain on an 'x' (say 40 inch x for $2300) it might be worth it. Just be prepared to have the "outdated" model as the new 'x' will be here before xmas.
