Girls. They have stumped men for ages with their ways. The biggest mystery of all? Why they don't play games as much as men. A recent study from Michigan State University has discovered the conclusive truth (until another study comes along and proves it wrong). Women have better things to do and thus have no time to play games. They study found that men have more leisure time because women usually do about twice the amount of work each week than men do.

“Our findings suggest that one reason women play fewer games than men is because they are required to fulfill more obligatory activities, leaving them less available leisure time,” said Jillian Winn of MSU’s Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies and Media, and one of the co-authors of the study, which studied 276 MSU undergraduate students. Aside from the fact that men are evidently massive slackers, the study points out the fact that games aren't really directed at women, and if they were they'd probably be more interested.
Also interesting -- maybe even more interesting -- is that while playing games does mean that less schoolwork gets done it does not mean a decrease in one's GPA. Hear that? Gamers are smart... or everyone had low GPAs to begin with.

I think the real reason is that it just doesn't appeal to them, just like how doing nails or gossiping doesn't appeals to men.

I know a heap of chicks who game more than me.
Sometimes even 30 hours every weekend (starting from early-evening, Friday).

No. I work full time and study at uni full time. I still find time to game

You'll find very few women wanting to verse you at Guitar Hero/Rock Band or verse you at resistance 2 online

girl don't have time because the spend more time, doing the stuff I don't like doing.

my missus is awesome, she cleans, cooks, everything a good wife should.

and I do my part to help out too, but I normally put in a half **** effort to allow me to get back to my video games.

A girl sometimes but definitely not a chick

I think males game more because we do have more "leisure time".. We dont procrastinate about things and just get in there and do the job at hand! Then reap the rewards of free-time... Thus, meaning more game time!

LOL sorry man, I know what you mean but. If we go shopping I skip the aisle I know I don't need anything from, just to finish faster, she'll go through each aisle and not get anything. When I do the lawn, I do it fast and efficiently the first time. She'll do it when I'm at work and will do it twice to get the bits she missed. I cook and I know what I'm going to make and thats it, she cooks and they'll be several pots and pans, for no good reason.
