unfortunately SLI mode is not supported by the Folding GPU clients (yet).. so you can SLI em.. but its only gunna benefit ya games.. I think actually u might have to take to SLI links out or disable it? so that you can run two gpu clients on the two cards. (Sorry, i haven't had any experience in GPU folding, but thats what i've read somewhere on the Folding Community Forums - foldingforum.org/

I seriously recommend everyone visit & signup to the the forums above.. they will have answer to your questions thats outside my knowledge base. And just for general chat as well.. i visit it daily.

lol how come mateo? u know whatever u set it to just means that folding will only ever use 'up to' that amount, so for example if your doing nothing on your computer and if u have it set to 95% CPU usage like mine, then folding will use 95% of your computers processor time to do its work. Say if u start up a program and it requires about 30% cpu usage, then whilst thats happening, folding will reduce itself to use 65% of the cpu so that 30% can be focused on your new task.

You'll find that dropping your cpu usage to 20% will only slow your work unit's return and won't have any impact on the performance of your computer. I recommend 95% for all desktops (leaving 5% seems to leave enough for max responsiveness) and 80-90% for laptops due to their usually poor cooling systems (running a laptop at 100% cpu usage you will definitely notice exactly how hot a laptop can get! lol

what does it do - program on your ps3 that folds proteins. finds cures for things like cancer etc.

what do you do - leave your ps3 on to allow the program to fold the protein samples.
i note, you cannot play games while doing this and your ps3 will be only limited to do a couple of things, play music, surf internet.

you cannot play games while the program is running.

Its only really suited for 'folders' who have their PS3s folding 24/7 or close to all the time simply because the work units that get dealt usually have shorter deadlines of less than 2 days and also its for people who are more willing to report problems with work units, don't mind if a work unit occasionally stuffs up as you are happy to fix the problem. I've been folding in advanced mode for 8 months and have only come across a few issues which have interrupted work units etc.

Any contribution to the project is good.. but to really help out Stanford i would suggest folding in this manner -
If you say want to do only 1-2 work units a week.. try not to fold little amounts at a time.. its simply not how the program was designed and intended for. Take advantage of the auto-switch off at end of current work unit feature and let your PS3 run overnight so it completes 1 full work unit guaranteed.

This way, your not worrying about deadlines, and you will always end up with the points you should have.. no missed or uncredited work units etc. It also allows ya to better regulate how much you wanna 'fold' but at the same time, doing the best for Stanford.

Also the PS3 program has some great links to FAQs and 'About's' etc. so read up a bit.. you'll really start to understand a lot more about folding, and folding specifically on the PS3.

And of course.. get your Computer folding! lol

I'm gunna try and make up a guide or something for beginners to follow soon so keep an eye out for that.. i'll let yas know anyways.
