Yeh unfortunately, you can only only run it while you sleep or when your "NOT" using your ps3, when you close it it will save it from where you left off when you reopen, im going to leave my going over night..
As for the dots, you can see the world can you???
use the left joystick on ps3 controller and scan the globe till you see Australia, You should see all the orange dots!! in all countries,, im not sure if these are people online using folding@home.

I just leave my PS3 running pretty much whenever I'm not playing games, so maybe 22 hours a day? Although I give the PS3 a break a few times a week.

The PS3 is compatible with printers, but I think it'd be easier to do it from your PC.

And 18 CPUs? Awesome, guys.

i'm not exactly sure on this, but im pretty sure it will show the location of your ip address rather, so if your internet service provider is based out of melbourne and thats where the IP address 'belongs' to, then it will show up in Melbourne unfortunately, not Benalla, same thing happens to me, im in Shepp, but Shepp does not light up. Not that it matters too much, the science behind the Folding is more important, and the more Work Units you guys crunch for the Team, the better it is for the Project as a whole! As for prizes, rewards etc., well, lets just focus on recruiting more PS3 users to Fold, and once there is a big following on the site, maybe admin can organize sum incentives... its up to us already folding, to encourage others to join in for this great cause!

note: i suggest you guys join up to the Folding Community Forum website that is linked on Stanford's main page, there you will find a wealth of information, and lots of help, and if you can't find any, ask for sum! I've got my own Team's thread (Aussie Rules Footy - Team 52735) in the Team section of the forum, i suggest you guys make up a thread in there for the MyPS3 team.

official Stanford website stats don't reflect 'current' event statistics, but from the beginning of the project statistics, see there has been over 75k teams participate, but probs a bit more than 2/3rds of those are 'active' and same goes for individual donator statistics. But i do base my efforts on 'all-time' statistics.
