Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction - 9/10

Well how long has it been since we had an adventure with one of the most famous duo in Playstation history? To me, it felt like an eternity! Ratchet and Clank finally come back and boy do they know how to make a comeback! As we all know the Ratchet and Clank series was one the most entertaining games we have ever played, they gave us laughs, kick ass weapons, and of course two characters we can remember years from now. This game is hard to believe that is it made for the Playstation 3 and not the Wii.
Ratchet and Clank celebrate their comeback by dancing with….. penguins?!?!
Insomniac Games presents us another great game that is to be considered of the best Playstation 3 game (next to Resistance: Fall of Man of course ) As we know the whole Ratchet and Clank series always makes say; "WOW!" and hopefully this new game will make us say; "Damn, i'm so glad i bought a Playstaion 3!" Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction will return our two recurring heroes. Fans of the series have been highly anticipated when this games was to be out for the Playstation 3.
The story of this game of course revolves around Ratchet & Clank when they are relaxing in Metropolis on planet Kerwan, until they are interrupted by a distress signal from Captain Qwark. He tells the two that an invasion of heavily armed robots is terrorizing a nearby city. The two go off and save the day as usual but little do they know that the invasion is actually a hunt for Ratchet that is organized by Emperor Tachyon, a Cragmite that wants to wipe the last Lombax from the face off the planet.

Story - 9/10
- The whole main point of the story for R&C: Tools of Destruction is that Ratchet will finally have the chance to know more about his Lombax origins. Like what was his race like and more importantly why is there a little crazed alien that wants to annihilate me?! Ratchet and Clank must find the "Lombax Secret" before Emperor Tachyon. Then the whole adventure begins where you battle enemies, upgrade weapons, and smart mouth elderly robots come in to help you and whatnot.
-Seems as though Ratchet and Clank are ready for their new adventure
Although there is some twist to this game since not only do you play as Ratchet but you can also play as Clank since he too has his own side story. His story revolves around this new species called the “Zoni” who are little, bright blue creatures that know how to unlock powers Clank never knew he had.

Gameplay – 10/10
- The gameplay is so addicting that you don’t ever want to put down the controller down. What makes the gameplay lots of kick ass fun is of course the weapons. R&C: Tools of Destruction includes about 31 weapons, which should be enough to fill up your destruction needs. Some weapons will be familiar to those of that have played the previous games but there new ones that awesome as well. What I like about these weapons is that you can upgrade them. You can either upgrade them but having rare crystal in where you can trade them in to have your weapons upgraded or you can just use a certain weapon over and over again since each weapon has 5 levels. Once it hit LV. 5 it will be more powerful than ever.
-One weapon (or device) you use is called the "Groovitron", This is truly helpful when you are outnumbered. It will actually make your enemies dance which gives you an advantage to take them out!
A new sort of gameplay is introduced is that this game will take advantage of the Sixaxis motion sensing so whenever you are free falling or whenever you have to dance with pirates! Just move freely as you move along!
-By using the sixaxis motion sensing, you need to boogey down to prove the robot pirates that you are one of them, ARRGGHHH!!!

Graphics - 8/10
- What makes this game reach a whole new level is that thanks to the High Definition that is built into the Playstation 3, Ratchet and Clank can now be seen 720p. Although the only main difference is, is that it looks much brighter and detailed. You can even see Ratchet's fur for the first time! But as you progress more into the game, you just get used to the new graphics for Ratchet and Clank.
-The graphics actually looks good in this game that it is hard to believe that it's still a cartoon game.

Conclusion
- Overall i enjoyed this game a lot since this is my very first Ratchet and Clank game and hope to see some more in the coming years. This game is a must for those who has played the previous Ratchet and Clank games or just want to add it to their Playstation 3 collection. With it's funny sense of humor, kick ass weapons, and wacky characters, this game will never bore you (until you buy a new game or something) Overall i give it a 9/10 since this is one of the games we have been waiting for and is needed badly for the Playstation 3.
