Five years have passed since your former Saints crew betrayed you. As you awake from a coma for the first time since that fateful day, you find the Stilwater you once ruled is in disarray. Unfamiliar gangs have laid claim to your territory, rival factions have taken over your rackets, and cash-hungry corporations have laid waste to your once proud 3rd Street home. Abandoned and left scarred with an unrecognizable face, you seek out a plastic surgeon to begin your new life on the streets of Stilwater.

Respect can only be earned in Stilwater, and that requires a lifestyle that reflects your unique personality. Your crib, your crew, and your character define who you are on the streets and how you are perceived. The image you portray is as important as the decisions you make in a city ruled by false bravado and impulsive behaviour. The only constant is the need for an identity that reflects your individuality and is backed up by your 12 gauge.

Style and image can only take you so far in a world where actions speak louder than words. Sometimes sending a message to your enemies requires heavy lifting, like that of a rival gang member into oncoming traffic. Respect in Stilwater needs to be taken, and what better way than to grab it from the hands of a gang full of enemies by means of a satchel charge.

The fight to reclaim Stilwater does not have to be waged alone. The Saints once ruled these streets as a crew of brothers, and their return to the top can help be secured through co-operative alliances. The time has finally come to seek revenge against your rivals to re-establish your crew as the rightful kings of Stilwater.

I thought the first one was great. Took the GTA formula and made it way better, mostly by getting rid of lock-on and giving you constant free aim, but the whole cars custimisation and everything was awesome.

Oooh yeah, Saints Row 2. I didn't think the release date would be so early! I loved siants row the original being an ex- xbox 360 owner, but from what i've heard this will be great! I hope they've put even more cool music on it because I loved the music from saints row 1.

I like Saints Row better than GTA cause it has such a good aiming system as opposed to GTA's ****ty lock on. I hate lock on and can't believe they put it in the new GTA like seriously get with the times. I will buy this over GTA 4.

I checked this game out today, played a good solid 3 hours of it and went straight back to GTA IV. GTA IV is a much better game imo.

Yeah GTA IV is still the king by FAR But SR2 is a more comical look at the sandbox genre Basically, you kill a lot of people and blow **** up! XD

I got this game and it's Pretty Good, But GTA 4 beats it when it comes to the graphics, Physics and Car Crashes
Saints Row 2 is more the the people that just want to massacre people but then again Who doesn't want to crash in cars and have realistic Damage on GTA 4?

Wow haven't my opinions changed on this after buying it and spending some solid hours with it. It is so in depth for a sand box game, there is so much to do, there is loads of sub quests. I must say i really enjoy the crowd control, fight clubs and fuzz quests. The character customisation and secrets that you find throughout Stilwater continue to amaze me. I would have NEVER said this before but having played SR2 for long time now, i'd say its a much better game than GTA IV gameplay wise. Visually it needs abit of catching up but other than that, SR2 has it beat imo.

I prefer Bright, shiny, sleek graphics over Dark, Dim, Grey, Boring colours on my HD TV.

Kinda like I'd Rather Play Motorstorm pacific rift over NFS.

You obviosly don't own Saints Row 2, You make your own charecter, they didn't put as much effort into the damage of cars because they were to pccupied by the gameplay, personly I like the way that you can customize everything you own way, instead of everybody playing the exact same way as you and btw the graphicxs on the PS3 are better than the xbox 360 version, better shadow and smoother frame rate, how do I know do you ask?
