Did man really walk on the Moon ???

I always thought it was weird they never returned too the moon and when you watch it right now it looks soooo fake.

well australia was involved in transmitting images and footage from the moon because if america was transmitting the images and footage then the live footage would be upside down. If u saw the move The Dish (2000) starring Sam Neill then u would know.

Mythbusters did an episode, they tested all the supposed reasons why it never happened, and busted them all ! !

Easy answer, why have they never returned ? ?

Several years later and after several failed attempts.

I find it hard to believe that they landed on the moon in 1969, yet 40 years later we still haven't even put a man on Mars. Furthermore, I can't imagine the technology being great enough that you could have walked on the moon in 19-friggin-69. I mean, everytime man conquers something, they take advantage of it and do it all the time. Why hasn't the moon been the true "next frontier" for us? It's been 40 years and there's been no progression.

Probaly due to the cost of going there and next to no returns from going there. Its all well and nice to spend a couple of billion dollars to go to the moon, but with no commercial value in doing so, there is no interest.

Hey, Everyone!!!...You know the only reason the '69 moon landing was faked was so that the US could beat (in a dodgey manner) the Soviet Union in "The Space Race".
Remember, the US-of-A could fake anything using their HOLLYWOOD studio technology.

IMHO, March 1983 was the most EPIC moonwalk...Done by Michael Jackson during the final minutes of Billie Jean.

Spacesteve - when is there EVER commercial value in going into space? What is the purpose of NASA? NASA is a government funded agency. They don't need to make a return. Their soul purpose is to research and progress space technology. Not making money.

At least not yet. Not until they start building cities on Mars.

Yes but the american tax payers feel like they need a return. Nasa is funded, but the Government can only afford to spend so much of the tax payers money. As soon as its commercially viable to mine the moon, then there will be people landing there everyday.
Back in the 60's the return from landing on the moon, was beating the russians. This gave a great boost to US morale in the midst of the cold war.

I always thought & was told that the reason Australia was used was because when they landed America was on the wrong side of the moon to recieve the signals, so Australia was used to recieve the signals & then beam them to America, pretty sure it had nothing to do with upside down images, if thats in the movie then I think thats the writers having a bit of a joke as we are the land downunder.

I think its totally possible it was fake but you would think after 40 years the truth would of come out. So many people were involved in the mission, surely one would sell their story for money.


Stuff like this makes you laugh, theres plenty of people out there that will also tell you 9/11 wasnt the work of terrorists but rather the US Governement planned the strikes themselves to get support for their war on terror. LOL that would have to be the most absurb thing Ive ever heard, watched a documentary on it & it was amazing how some people can convince themselves that their own government

Apollo 13 failed to land on the moon because there oxygen supply got destroyed and they nearly died and after that there was no more moon landings because its to dangerous and cost too much.

Technology has came a far way in 40 years but 40 years ago i really think there is no way they could have done this i mean they would still fail now.
