PS3 Slim-shady: "It's Real" according to GameTrailers
Amidst all the rumours around the PS3 Slim and the concept photos shown around the internet from the last two months, an employee from GameTrailers had actually filmed a video of the supposed real 'PS3 Slim' console.
It's still hard to make out of whether this is the "official" hardware from Sony, but the video made by GameTrailers evidently show that it's already selling in an 'underground' market in the Philippines.
Additionally, the PS3 Slim was selling for 20,000 pesos, which is roughly £250, which is roughly US$410...loosely translating to around AU$525.
Some of the specs revealed by the buyer are:
- It has a 120GB HDD.
- Two USB Ports
- The 'touch' button for eject and on seems to be gone, and there are now these random buttons.
- The ps icon is now white instead of colored.
- No more card reader
- PLAYSTATION 3 is gone, rather its PS3. It says this on the bottom as well for some reason.
- The guy was selling it with a Dualshock 3
There have been previous reports (from Asia) of Sony shipping the Slim as early as July, there
maybe a
possibility this “fell off the truck” and has elusively made its way into the underground market!?
Presumably an official announcement
may come at the Tokyo Game Show this September, and of course Sony is still keeping quite on this fragile subject matter.
