JB HiFi on the GC have the Singstar microphone stand (not bad quality, either) for around 39 bucks - sure it would be the same interstate

Oh hell - my biggest fear (with the PS3 anyway . . . ) - What happended Wutang? was it the HD changeover / upgrade that caused the problem?

Few hours later ... turned my PS3 back on, queued a few downloads then changed disc.
I inserted the Rock Band disc ...

And the game should appear as a disc icon under Game right?

It never did. I just get the twirling bubble (which means the PS3 is loading, or thinking) continuously. It never stops. Until I take the disc out.

My PS3 knows there's a disc inside. The blue LED light is lit up on the front. But it just won't ever read it.

I'm sending my PS3 to the Sony repair centre tomorrow. 25 days PS3-less ...

I think I should survive. My MGS Essential Collection is arriving from Play-Asia soon (and MGS4 was the only MGS game I've played ...) so that will keep me occupied for awhile (hopefully anyway)

But yea, 4 weeks will pass until I can play Rock Band again.
I gotta keep track of the RB DLC I want to buy lol

I'd like to say thanks to you guys for the warning about playconsoles. I ordered last Monday, and didn't receive word until I emailed them on Friday, being promised that I would be updated the following day. I looked around after wondering if anyone else had had problems with them (they were listed on the importing rockband guide) and found you guys, and noticed that people here were having the exact same problems. Whether they are dodgy or not, their customer service is unreliable at best. To the person who had their order randomly canceled and is waiting on a refund, my sympathy to goes out to you.

I canceled and just bought them off ebay. The PS3 was nearly as cheap as playconsoles listed and rock band was MUCH cheaper after shipping than there, so I'm thankful for that. Can't wait for them to arrive.
