In my opinion, Harmonix really needs to release free-to-download preview videos on PSN/Xbox Live, introducing the new songs that are available as DLC for Rock Band.

I don't know a lot of rock songs, but I may consider purchasing them if I got a proper preview of everything.

I know there's a preview in the game under Music Store, but there should be a way to do it without starting up the game. Singstore's done it (they have a website with the entire Singstore list).

I found a guy who does it on Youtube. I'll post the link when I get home.

Yep - preview mine on YouTube if I'm a bit doubtful - have picked up som sensational songs I wouldnt hav given a second look that way . . .

No problem Sstick98. I was trying to find something exactly like that to try out new songs on my computer (without turning on the PS3).

Since Harmonix announced that RB1's DLC is compatible with RB2 ... makes me wanna spend more lol

You have to hair have that is long than 30 cm's before that song unlocks. Did you get the little USB measuring device that plugs into the PS3. Or i've heard you can use the eyetoy to measure hair length.

Didnt get the Earache pack myself - bit too HC for my tastes (tho BIG fan of the DISTURBED songs) - besides, have a wife that screams louder, longer and more frequently than the EVILE, etc songs, so seemed like a redundant purchase . . . . . (evil laugh follows . . . )

My mind could be a little muddied, for we will be drinking Bourbon and Whiskey straight from the bottle, the only way to drink when your a rock legend. I also have to stop by the salvo store and pick up some ripped jeans, a vomit staind singlet and maybe a long haired wig if i can find one. To give the night more authenticity.

Yes it looks like Rock Band 2 will have more gameplay options and a refined set of instruments. But it's only slated for september on the XBOx360, so no word on when the ps3 version will be out. The best would be to wait until E3 find out what Rock Band 2 is all about, then make a decision whether you can wait that long. Who knows Rock Band might drop in price after RB2 unveiling.

yeah i agree with discomark - most likely it'll at least have better instruments. price drop - possibly, but i doubt it'll be that much of a drop..

i dont think i can wait any longer, so i will be importing very soon. its a good thing that RB1 instruments will be compatible with RB2.. so when RB2 eventually comes out, all i need to get is the game disc (and possibly the refined drum set, if its worth it)
