On websites yesterday it said the European release has been announced for May 22.....but the ps3 release was going to be delayed till later in the year.
What a joke.
Guitar Hero Aerosmith would be out by then...possibly guitar hero 4...Rock band 2 also? geez

I've played GH3 on PS3 before, and Rock Band is just different. It's awesome. Especially the 4-player multiplayer. My friend, who was a GH fanboy ... I've converted him into a RB fanboy now hahaha!
i've read in quite a few places that rock band is as hard as "hard" on GH3... and thats not that hard. and im not a fan of singstar so that just leaves drums... and im not buying it to play drums

You can import from the ebayer seller wutang used for around $300AU including postage, if you really cant wait for the game then Id say yes its worth it. Only reason I havent (besides having just spent that $300 on a G25 wheel) is that I dont want to have a drum pedal or guitar break & not be able to get warranty on it here in aus, too much hassle to send it back again.

When is it going to get better mate? I paid $1000 for the unit and all the ps3 owners get are delays and promises.. It sounds like Sony are politicians..Just talk ****..
Crazynites mate that is also what is stopping me from ordering it also.. I just have to be patient if I still have my ps3 by June/July

well you could sell it but im sure you'll regret in in a few months. there is a heaps of great games on the way this year. i have only had my ps3 for a few months so its all kinda new to me but i see what you saying. if you've had it that long not much happened last year with them, but this year will change all that

Yes they are compatible, no issues.
GH3 guitars are also compatible but SONY aint allowed to release the patch to make them work as the developers of GH3 wont allow it.

UK ps3 people are furious. It's a timed exclusive for the 360. Not only that but they gotta pay 50 pounds more than a US copy.
It's EA man. They are the devil.
That comes to $400 australian and when you consider the whole thing is 169 in the US (190 bucks Aus) you can see why everyone is upset.
If it comes in at around 400 here in Australia i'll forget about it.

When I was in EB games about 10 days ago I asked the manager about Rock Band, he was pretty sure the price wouldnt be above $250 & could be as low as $200. He said part of the reason for it being delayed is that they are trying to get the price down as they fear a high price tag will put people off buying & they wanna ship as many units as possible. I cant see why it would be so hard to keep the price down if its already $169 in the US, it shouldnt cost another $200AU per unit to ship a few containers of these over to Australia.

No way it will be under $200, you are getting a game, mic, drums & guitar, GH3 is $130-150 & only comes with a guitar.

Does anyone know if the SingStar PS3 Mics will work? If they do, I wont need the Rock Band microphones which will hopefully lower the price.

Rock Band will be released first only as a complete set just like it was in America. They may also just release the game disc & mics, but guitars & drums will not be on sale seperatly for awhile, it took a few months before they were available in America. The Singstar Mics work with Rock Band.

Buying everything else seperatly might actually cost as much as getting the bundle.
I would assume the guitar will be about $70 or more, drums $70 or more , game $60-$70. But if you only want the drums & mic then yeah this would be cheaper, until we know what the prices will be for the bundle & to buy seperatly its hard to say.

guitar doesn't work at the moment..
on going dispute, but eventually both guitars will work on both games after a patch is released..
no time frame yet though

The patch is made & works but the makers of GH3 wont allow it to be released, it may never get released but it is in the hands of SONY, so if it ever gets the green light it will be released immediately.
