Damn. Man ... that process looks way too complicated.
Maybe I'll steer away from DLC for awhile.
I have a 2nd user account, with an American PSN account linked to it. I'll give it a go after my Rock Band arrives.
By goly gosh I hope it arrives tomorrow (Thursday). Friday is Good Friday ><

Hey just a question, did anyone choose the express shipping postage option off that seller? If so how long did it take once the tracking said the item has left the usa?

Both Wutang and I chose that option. Mine left the states in the 3 days he indicates is handling time where as Wutangs took about a week (maybe a bit longer). Once mine had shipped it was in Australia in about 5 days and in my hands after about 7 or 8 days which was longer than it should have been because the guy stuffed up my postal address.

Hmmm ? Makes you wonder if they are referring to one overall PAL release or individual ones. Three titles in German could mean 3 extra songs on the German release which is PAL, France is also PAL etc.
So maybe, not exactly 10 songs extra but 10 extra songs spread across the various PAL countries.

3/3/2008 - I clicked "Buy it Now" on eBay.
7/3/2008 - Seller shipped it. USPS received electronic shipping info.
11/3/2008 - USPS finally decides to ship my package across the Pacific.
18/3/2008 - Arrives on Australian soil
18/3/2008 - Entered foreign customs (4:11pm)
18/3/2008 - Cleared foreign customs (8:52pm)
20/3/2008 - Today: Nothing. Still somewhere between Foreign Customs and Australia Post. Australia Post in Easter mood already or something.
I probably won't get it until Tuesday, 25 March. DAMNIT.

Rock Band adds in-game music store
Rock Band owners will be delighted to find out that once they load up their copy of the game today, they will be prompted to download a patch with some exciting new features.
After selling more than 6 million songs through its weekly downloadable content, Harmonix has given Rock Band owners an even easier method to access downloadable tracks through the inclusion of an in-game Music Store that was made available by way of the new patch.

I'm presuming this is related to the American version.
I guess once my Rock Band arrives, I'll get this patch straight away

It shows up even if you have Aussie PSN account. The update takes placve automatically no matter what PSN account you are logged into. But if you enter the in game store using an aussie account all items state that they have been purchased and you cannot download. You need to have American PSN account to get the content.

So nightphant, do you have a 2nd user accou/nt on your PS3 with an American PSN account linked to it?
Are you able to purchase songs that way, through the in-game store?
And then play them again, in the 1st user account (which has the Australian PSN account linked) ...
Hmm.

Hmm.
I have created two master accounts. One australian PSN account and 1 US PSN account using Entropay virtual card. I could not link a US PSN account to my Aussie account because the moment I mention my country is the US it validates against my credit card and spits the dummy.
From what I can see you have to create completely seperate accounts.
Both accounts exist on both my PS3's however, which means that I can download the content to both machines while only paying for it once. And yes, the content is playable on either system no matter whether logged into US or Aussie PSN.

Im so tempted to buy Rock Band from that seller wutang but a little put off by the amount of time it takes to arrive then of course the hassle of getting DLC from the US PSN. Why cant they just release it here, if I knew for sure it was gonna be out in a couple months id wait.

I'm curious if I can purchase the Rock Band game only (Australian version), and if the instruments will still work.
If that works, I'd be cool with doing that ... xD

Yeah I dont think you will have a problem with the instruments from the NTSC version working on the PAL version.

Add the costs all up, and it works out to be about the same to the rumoured cost of Rock Band here in Australia. ($250~300).
If it didn't, I wouldn't have purchased it from the States.

It is a 10 kg box that is getting shipped. US $97 is a pretty good price for that weight, plus the cost includes insurance.

Btw, you know how Rock Band can have 4 players on multiplayer?
Do you have to buy an extra Fender Stratocaster guitar for the bassist?
I just want to make sure before I start purchasing peripherals
