But what about the bands that get paid cause there songs are there included in the game, compared to bands that don't get paid when a user uploads one of theirs?
I can only see problems with this. As well as record companies mainly kicking up a fuss

I thought it was only ffor you to make your own song, not edit one you upload??

Oh, so you record you own song??? How would one make a guitar part, pressing a couple of buttons don't make for good chords and riffs?
How would you change between the snare drum being a tom for a fill? How would it handle Pitch Correction in the singing?
So many questions, so little answers.
I have a feeling it's gonna be very underwhelming when the answers are revealed and the true extent of this feature is seen.

The bands have allready been paid by having their songs licenced to the game as for use.

hhhmmmm . . . thinking the song creation add-on may be underwhelming indeed . . .
If its good enough to use, its going to be fairly complex to use (otherwise the code writers at Harmonix are gunna be out of jobs - which I doubt very much)
OR
Its a 'whistle' for marketing - kinda simplistic and not much fun.
Still - early indications are that GH4 looks good tho.

I'm intrigued to find out what this "Biggest Set List" Refers too? Are they meaning on the disc, or do they mean downloadable similar to Rock Band Library? I wish one of these music games would have a place other than forums where people can vote or put up what songs they want. I'm personally sick of these "old rock" songs that the general target audience (Kids- Young Adults late 20's) don't really care about.

Harmonix no longer make guitar hero, Neversoft do that now. Harmonix makes rock band.

Well those old rock songs are alot better that the crap they pump out today the guitar riffs are exeleent in old rock but new rock is all about the singing??

wooo there video gamers average age now at 30+, and at least singers/bands from the 70's wrote their own music, and not just rehashed everthing.

Interesting assessment - take it you dont have it, or even tried it, then?
Bear in mind its landmark gaming effort - no-one has attempted it before (yep - the GH series but RB is a massive step up in terms of complexity), and now RB has been around for a while, all the 'reverse engineers' can point out what they'd do better.
In the long run, thats great for all of us since it means we end up with a better product but for a first effort, without any benchmarks to go by, it really is worth every single cent. If my copy fell into a blackhole today, I'd have another copy on its way tomorrow, even after having it for around 5 months now. How many other games can you honestly say that about?
GH4 may have some better points when it (eventually) arrives - meantime, those of us that put in the extra effort to get RB from the US (early) will continue to have a shipload of fun with it . . . .

Rock Band had a new idea which was awesome and popular ... and Guitar Hero was forced to follow, which they've done and added some ideas of their own.
Now, how can Rock Band significantly improve on their own idea?

they will... maybe.... but i havnt really warmed to the gh4 drums yet it looks too weird if they add another drum pad so its a snare and 3 toms imall for it! lol dont get me wrong i will be buying both but i just like rb more at the moment...

Yea, I like Rock Band as well.
I own both RB and GH3 ... and I find the 'response time' if that's the correct terminology, is better in RB than GH3.

Your right Wutang, i haven't got Rock Band Yet, but the response time in GH2 was a lot better than GH3. I think Activision has their work cut out for them trying to bring out GH - World Tour. They haven't mastered the guitar part yet, and now they are trying to incorporate Drums and Singing, i think it's going to be a lesser Rock Band IMO.

I must admit that GH4's drums look freaking awesome, very cool indeed.
It can only mean one thing, Rock Band will make something similar to match it ... or improve it further! Hahaha
