Mate. Shipping's insane. I haven't found an American online store who sells the Rock Band Special Edition, and is willing to ship internationally ... simply because it is heavy as!

I found a guy on Ebay who claims he imported at USD $281 including 4 to 5 day shipping. He was charging AUD $5 to get the info out of him so I figured I would give that a shot. (At least if he doesn't come through its only a fiver) I am awaiting that info at the moment.

I have been thinking about waiting too but I look at reports that the price may hit $300 for the bundle anyway. I have taken a bit of a look on Ebay and scouring the net as well and I can see that the following prices can be achieved...
drum kit can be imported from Ebay for about AUD $140
Microphone....any USB apparently works but Logitech have one at AUD $40 listed on their website.
Game itself can be imported at AUD $57
That gets me to around $240 without the guitar (pity GH3 guitars dont work) because I would jump at that price in a flash.

Edit: I'm also worried about the ability to purchase downlodable-content from the American PSN for the game ...

as long as you have a TV that was made in the last 5 or so years it should do NTSC and PAl fine
